Band saws description
Band saws are the most common and longest-established machines used in the woodworking industry. In the case of a band saw, an endless band saw blade runs between two band guide pulleys in a straight line. The workpiece is guided by manual force on the saw table. Most band saws have variable speeds and can be equipped with different types of band saw blades with different teeth, which are endless by brazing. The width of the bandsaw blades is most often between 20 and 500 mm and these types can be used only for cutting straight or high radius surfaces. However, there are also different widths, ranging from 3 to 10 mm, which are used exclusively for the manufacture of moulds, both for sawing external and internal moulds. Depending on the type, the saw blades can be guided horizontally or vertically, while the horizontal saw blades are used exclusively for cutting, the vertical saw blades can be used for notching or cutting.
